Tell us about yourself.: Benjamin is the Managing Broker and President of Advent Properties, Inc. Service Beyond Expectations is the personal commitment and founding principal of the company he established to serve the Real Estate and Property Management needs of buyers/sellers and income property owners throughout the Bay Area.

Benjamin's interest in the Real Estate field began as a residential income investor in 2000. He owns and manages rental property in the East Bay. After years of personal success purchasing, renovating and managing residential and commercial income property, Benjamin obtained his Brokers License in 2008. Since then he works to apply his proven negotiating skills and aggressive marketing techniques to purchase, sell and manage single-family homes, residential and commercial income property for his clients.

Before becoming a professional Real Estate Broker, Benjamin worked in Account Management, for Iron Mountain, Contract Negotiations/Government Affairs for Clear Channel Outdoor, Public Policy for the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Public Policy & Membership for the Rental Housing Association of Northern Alameda Country.

Benjamin was raised in Rochester, Minnesota, is a Graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with B.A. degrees in Political Science and History. Benjamin is also a California Certified Resident Manager (CCRM) and Notary Public.

Being engaged to improve and give back to the community is important to Benjamin. He currently serves as City Commissioner on the Oakland Parks and Recreation Board as well as City Commissioner on the Oakland Housing, Residential Rent and Relocation Board. He is former Chair of the Oakland Budget Advisory Committee and former Vice President of the Board, Dunsmuir-Hellman Historic Estate.
