Does Your Property Manager REALLY Screen Tenants?

No landlord ever wants to land a bad tenant, but regretfully all screening processes were not created equally. Applicants put their best foot forward and the more they have to hide, the greater lengths they will go to hide facts that would eliminate them from consideration. The screening process can vary widely between property managers so its important to find out just how much protection the company is going to provide you from what later turn out to be bad tenants. It only takes one eviction…See More

Jordan Muela commented on Jason Rush's blog post '7 Ways to Kill the Bottom Line of Rental Property'
Some good points here Jason, especially item number one. Nothing worse than an owner who just can't seem to under stand that there is absolutely no relationship between their mortgage and what they should be asking for rent.

This is a follow up to our survey of almost 3,000 reviews of property management companies on Yelp and Yahoo Local.

Why is it that management companies seem to get such a bad rap in online reviews? It would be easy to dismiss these review sites as being platforms for libel by disgruntled people with an… Continue

Jordan, I read your articles on management contracts. My contract is 4 pages. To add some of the suggestions you bring up would increase the contract considerably. It is a difficult balance to keep things simple yet make sure your protected as well as satisfying your clients needs. I may do some editing to my contract to include a few of the ideas you discuss. I appreciate your efforts.

Hi Jordan and welcome.

I see we've been negligent and slow in issuing a warm hello. I'm sorry for that! I have been multi-tasking as usual - some days I'm a better juggler than others ;-)

I just want you to know that we are glad you've joined and we look forward to your participation. I took a look at your website and see that you offer an interesting benefit to property managers. Did you receive the email I sent you about the LTPM vendor site?

Stop by my page and say hello and be sure to let me know if you have questions.

Thanks for joining!

Dee (& Terri)
