During a slow time, or recession, homes are typically preferred by investors as it is a lesser risk and in time the market will generally return. Property is a daily requirement, as is food and water, and people will always require rental properties. There will always be people who cannot afford to live in their area of choice, or have circumstances which do not allow them to purchase their own home.
Your Sales Agent can guide you with matching homes with your requirements, and your Propety Manager is able to guide you with marketing and managing your investment property.
In my experience, the features below are the most common that I have found our tenants to be searching for in a rental property.  This list is intended to give you a guide to compare how attractive the property that you are viewing would be to potential tenants.
To help you choose the property to best suit your investment requirements, we have below a score card for you to use when viewing properties.  A property should score greater than 80%.  If you score less than this, you may wish to review your property choice.
